Technology at our school
Technology is used at Naima to enhance learning and has been carefully selected to support and engage pupils.
At Naima, we want to prepare our children for the ever-changing technological world through teaching a varied Computing Curriculum.
The Computing Curriculum, which is overseen by Miss Ainley, gives clear learning expectations for using technology. We want our pupils to use technology to be creators, not only consumers of content. Pupils receive a focussed Computing lesson each week with Miss Ainley and they also access a number of other learning applications through i-pads in other lessons. Online safety is a priority for all members of staff at Naima and staff use a range of strategies including safe-searching to help safeguard our pupils. Miss Ainley ensures that all technology in the school is safe and this is done through a whole school approach, whilst considering the latest medical information and research, filtering and age-appropriate software. We also continue to inform parents of recent developments in online safety through newsletters, workshops and Digital Parenting magazine.
